Python backend engineer with a touch of AI/ML in Gaborone, Botswana. Think of me as one of the behind-the-scenes crew members in a movie production but instead of editing videos and shouting cut, I design the systems behind the interface — APIs, pipelines, and the models that make them smart.
Hey, I am SharonDee, or that's just what most people call me. I am just a simple girl who fell head over heels in love with Python, and decided during my undergrad years that it was the language and the area I was going to dedicate myself to. 5 years down the line, I have mastered the craft of using Python as a backend tool, and currently I am advancing to AI/ML because times are changing and Python is too diverse for me to just use one aspect of it.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in IT Networking & Software Engineering degree from the Institute of Development Management (IDM) in Gaborone, Botswana. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Commerce in Strategic Marketing at Gaborone University College of Law & Professional Studies (GUC) in Gaborone, Botswana.
Engineering to marketing is a wild switch up, and I think I have heard too many people say that to me, but the truth is, these two complement one another. Strategic marketing has taught me that just creating a product is not enough; meeting the needs and expectations of a client is what is truly important. With engineering, I can build systems, websites, mobile applications, etc., which meet the client's needs and expectations, building towards customer relationship management. I understand the dynamics of why I create things the way I do — it's not about me or the company, but it's about what the customer needs. I hold two diverse skillsets, but when I combine them, they give me the ultimate skill that most engineers or marketers do not have.
My desire is to learn and grow, to come up with creative solutions to problems, and build the systems. Coding is like playing video games for me — the errors and bugs are just levels I am stuck on, but hey, at least the resolve will be worth it, because my XP will build up. Haha, too geeky? Oh well, that is just my humor creeping out somewhere.

Real systems, not tutorials — each one solves a workflow problem end to end.

Role-based approval workflow engine — employee → manager → admin — modelling request lifecycles and permission-controlled state transitions with clean separation of models, serializers, and business logic.

This form is wired up later — for now it's the shape of what we'll build together.
